Star Trek Boldly Gets Behind Hillary Clinton – Anyone Else Would Be Highly Illogical

Hillary Clinton Matches The Ideals That Star Trek Stand For While Trump Is Completely Against Them

When ‘Star Trek’ hit TV screens 50 years ago, it offered a progressive and positive view of the future. Now, in 2016, some of those involved with the legendary series and all of the subsequent shows and movies that have come into being after that have picked their Presidential candidate of choice that matches the ‘Star Trek’ philosophy and vision: Hillary Clinton.

A number of ‘Star Trek’ cast and crew members from over the years boldly set up a Facebook page called ‘Trek Against Trump’, with the goal of defeating, “a presidential candidate who stands in such complete opposition to the ideals of the ‘Star Trek’ universe as Donald Trump.”

“’Star Trek’ has always offered a positive vision of the future, a vision of hope and optimism, and most importantly, a vision of inclusion, where people of all races are accorded equal respect and dignity, where individual beliefs and lifestyles are respected so long as they pose no threat to others.”

Ya, that’s definitely not Donald Trump, the divider, a man who seems to have utter contempt for everyone that it isn’t him. He has no interest in equal respect and dignity for women, minorities, immigrants or, essentially, humans. Inclusion and Donald Trump go together like oil and water.

The group, which includes George Takei, J.J. Abrams, Eugene and Heidi Roddenberry, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg, sees Hillary Clinton as the obvious choice, because, well, she is.

“Either Secretary Clinton or Mr. Trump will occupy the White House. One is an amateur with a contemptuous ignorance of national laws and international realities, while the other has devoted her life to public service, and has deep and valuable experience with the proven ability to work with Congress to pass desperately needed legislation.”

And, as many people are warning at the moment, the ‘Star Trek’ folks say that a protest vote in the form of “What’s Aleppo?” Gary Johnson or Jill Stein is just not an option.

“The resolution of conflicts on Star Trek was never easy. Don’t remain aloof –vote! We have heard people say they will vote Green or Libertarian or not at all because the two major candidates are equally flawed. That is both illogical and inaccurate.”

Illogical, indeed.

And the most important message? GET OUT AND VOTE, as they offer up a link to the website Rock the Vote where you can register to do just that.
