Veteran Journalist Destroys GOP Senators Over Laughable Trump ‘Sh*thole’ Remark Amnesia
Tom Brokaw Jabs Republican Senators Over Response To Donald Trump Racism
The fallout from comments by racist Republican Donald Trump continues into this weekend. And those trying to deflect or defend his remarks are doing little more than embarrassing themselves at this point.
One of the most egregiously absurd responses has come from two Republican Senators that were present at the meeting. Tom Cotton and David Perdue put out a joint statement claiming they couldn’t remember the president making racist comments to a room full of lawmakers. They said:
We do not recall the President saying these comments specifically but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest.
In other words, it was all business and no racism. Sure.

This flies in the face of the fact numerous media outlets confirmed the remarks from Donald Trump through their sources. And others present have additionally confirmed the statements as well, Democrats and Republicans alike.
The convenient amnesia from Cotton and Perdue prompted one iconic journalist to troll them with a little sarcastically friendly advice. Tom Brokaw took to Twitter to let the Senators know Costco has “a good deal on hearing aids” since they appear to need them.
sens cotton and perdue “can’t recall” potus using “s… hole” language.
fellow gop sen graham and others have sharper memories and better hearing.
sen cotton and perdue – costco hs a good deal on hearing aids.

Other Twitter users agreed with the veteran journalist as to just how ridiculous the claims were from Cotton and Perdue.
Two possibilities, one far more likely than the other.
1) They didn't notice he used it, which means such language is commonplace and acceptable in their world.
2) They are lying.
And neither possibility is attractive for them. #goingdownwiththeship

If they can't recall it, they weren't shocked by it, which probably means they agree.

Well if they’re having memory loss they need to find another job..,

Some have begun to notice that comments like these from Donald Trump seem to only make their way out when Democrats are around to hear them. It opens the door for speculation as to what Republicans might be hiding in terms of just how disgusting the president is when in more protective company.

Despite the likelihood his party members are protecting him from further damage, the fact that Donald Trump is clearly racist is not really up for debate at this point. Racism helped get him elected, and that portion of voters are getting what they wanted.
And no matter how much they want to play the amnesia card now or in the future, the GOP owns this. It’s their guy. They continue to play ball with him. And that legacy will be sticking with them for the long haul.
