BREAKING: Comey Crushes Trump’s Pathetic Wiretap Claim in Televised Testimony (VIDEO)
Comey Says There Was No Wiretapping
FBI director James Comey shot down the idea that former president Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the election.
James Comey was quite clear.
“With respect to the President’s tweets on alleged wiretapping directed at him during the prior administration, I have no information that supports those tweets, and we have looked carefully inside the FBI. The Department of Justice has asked me to share with you that the answer is the same for the Department of Justice and all its components. The Department has no information that supports those tweets.”

This directly contradicts President Trump’s initial claim, made via Twitter several weeks ago, as well as his subsequent doubling down on that claim.
President Trump Lied About the Wiretapping
In other words, FBI director James Comey was forced, by the President himself, to testify that the president lied. And, in doing so, Trump accomplished several things – none of them good for his administration or the country.
He proved that he tweets without thinking about the repercussions of said tweets.
He alienated the intelligence agencies that keep our country safe.
Trump admitted that he trusts the claims of conspiracy theorists on right-wing news outlets over the intelligence agencies.
The president alienated our close ally, Britain, when allowing Sean Spicer to claim that Obama utilized British spies to accomplish the wiretapping.
And he proved himself to be a liar, not just once, but several times over, by his unwillingness to admit that the tweets, probably fired off without much thought, were mistakes.
More To Come from Comey Testimony
The testimony from James Comey has already proved enlightening. The FBI director has admitted that yes, the FBI is currently investigating the many connections between the Trump campaign and Russia.
And he confirmed that our Twitter-loving president lies, repeatedly. That, in and of itself, is not surprise to many Americans, but now, thanks to the president’s own inability to back away from his wild claims, it’s memorialized in congressional testimony…that was televised across the world.
