Elizabeth Warren Warns Progressives, Don’t Do Obamacare Victory Dance Just Yet (TWEETS)

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren took a bit of time Friday to praise President Donald Trump’s failed attempt at repealing ObamaCare, but she cautioned that the fight has only just begun. The GOP will likely be attempting more healthcare reform in the future, she added, according to The Hill.

Warren’s Words Of Wisdom

“Today is a great day for the people of Massachusetts & people across the country who depend on the Affordable Care Act. But I’m not doing a touchdown dance today,” she said in a series of tweets. “Not when the GOP is still hell-bent on rigging the system for the rich & powerful. This is why we fight. When we get out there & fight, we can make a real difference.”

Warren joined a list of progressives who are celebrating, now that the Republicans have scrapped their healthcare bill. Hillary Clinton, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Shumer (D-NY) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT),  are among those who are more than happy to see Trump’s American Healthcare Act of 2017 go down in flames. But like Keith Ellison, she noted the Republicans will likely be sending more healthcare bills our way.

Ellison, deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, tweeted “Don’t gloat; Get ready for round 2. Organize!”

It’s really nice to have our moment in the sun, but Warren and her fellow progressives are right. Time to get our game on.
