Trump’s Petty Fury Over’Grab ‘Em by the P***y’ Scandal Cost This Lapdog a Cabinet Job
Steve Bannon Reveals Chris Christie Lost Cabinet Spot For Abandoning Trump After Access Hollywood Tape
Republican Donald Trump has made it clear loyalty is everything. His reported interactions with the FBI Director he fired, James Comey, left no doubt about that. And that loyalty must never falter, even when he does something most people find completely repulsive. Just ask Chris Christie.
Former White House strategist Steve Bannon illustrated just how much loyalty meant to Trump during one of his most embarrassing times on the campaign trail last year. In a clip from his upcoming 60 Minutes interview with Charlie Rose, Bannon stated Christie lost a cabinet spot for not standing by Trump after the release of the infamous Access Hollywood tape. As with many things Bannon-related, the exchange is stunningly candid.
ROSE: You took names on Billy Bush Sunday, didn’t you?
BANNON: I did…You know I’m Irish and I got to get my little black book and I get ’em. Christie, because of Billy Bush weekend, was not looked at for a cabinet position.
ROSE: He wasn’t there for you on Billy Bush weekend, so therefore he doesn’t get a cabinet position.
BANNON: I told him the plane leaves at 11-o-clock in the morning. If you’re on the plane, you’re on the team. Didn’t make the plane.
Christie was not alone in his condemnation of the lewd comments made by Republican Donald Trump in the tape. Not many people were standing by him at that low point in the 2016 election.

Trump was caught on a hot mic talking to Billy Bush on a bus when he bragged about sexually assaulting women.
“I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it…
“I did try and fuck her…
“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married…
“I’ve gotta use some tic tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump says.“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”
“And when you’re a star they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
“Whatever you want,” says another voice, apparently Bush’s.
“Grab them by the pussy,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
Chris Christie has had a rough few months as he winds down his final year as New Jersey governor. Cameras caught him on a beach during a time when the state government was closed down over budget negotiations. He was caught in a nasty interaction with a fan at a baseball game. And a Quinnipiac University poll found him to have the worst approval rating of any governor in two decades of its polling.
Christie’s unpopularity is clearly part of the reason his Lieutenant Governor is facing a twenty-point deficit to her Democratic opponent in most polls for this year’s election to replace the outgoing Republican.
The overall lesson in this is loyalty to Donald Trump and Steve Bannon must be unshakable in even the worst of circumstances. And if it wavers even a bit, you will be dumped. Also known as the Authoritarian’s Playbook.
