‘What Have I Done’: Watch Trump Voters Complain About Trump’s Train Wreck Administration
CNN Panel Of Donald Trump Voters Filled With Regrets For Their Vote
There’s always some regret from voters once their guy takes the White House and doesn’t do what they expected. But, as with all things Donald Trump, the level of regret for the Republican continues growing and is not likely to stop expanding anytime soon.
Some have awoken to the reality he treats a lot of people terribly, but only once he goes after someone they know or is like themselves. A perfect example of this happened this weekend when former NFL coach and Trump supporter Rex Ryan turned on the Republican president. After Trump insulted and called for firing players expressing their First Amendment rights, Ryan stated:
You know, calling our players SOBs and all that kind of stuff, that’s not the men that I know. The men that I know in the locker room I’m proud of. I’m proud to be associated with those people. I apologized for being pissed off but guess what? That’s it, because right away I’m associated with what Donald Trump stands for and all that because I introduced him. I never signed up for that, I never wanted that.
In other words, Ryan ignored the reality Trump began his run for president by attacking Mexican people with false claims about their character. Ryan didn’t mind all of Trump’s verbal assaults until he went after someone Ryan knew.
That said, CNN took some time to interview a panel of Donald Trump voters and the results were pretty ugly for the current administration. When the five panelists were asked if they felt as strongly today as they did on Election Day, only two agreed. The rest openly regretted their vote. And things didn’t get any better from there.
The reasons for regret were wide-ranging. His Tweeting, the appointment of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and his obsession with his crowd size on Inauguration Day were among the complaints. Expanding on the post-Inauguration debacle, one panelist stated (full video below):
When he was so concerned about the crowds, or lack thereof, I was like “Is that THAT important?” You’re the president. Let’s move forward…That probably started my “What have I done?”
The panelist then assumed Trump’s problems with the crowd size went back to concerns about the size of his hands.
The panel then unanimously criticized Donald Trump for weighing in on NFL players protesting the National Anthem over the treatment of minorities in the United States. They also took issue with the fact Trump was so quick to call protesting football players “Sons of Bitches”, but was so kind to white supremacists and neo-Nazis after the domestic terror attack in Charlottesville.
As with all presidents, there are voters who regret their choice. But, since everything Donald Trump does is so abnormal, we might see a lot more of those regrets than usual as this train wreck administration keeps the failures coming.
