Bigoted Pastor Says God is Not an ‘Open Borders Guy’, Internet Goes Bonkers
Pastor Robert Jeffress Backs Donald Trump Immigration Policy With Ridiculous Claim
When it comes to religious leaders, one of the best pals of Republican Donald Trump has been Pastor Robert Jeffress. And when it comes to the immigration debate, this supposed person of God is just as supportive of the president as he has been for some time.
During a recent interview on Fox News, Jeffress went to bat for Trump on immigration by claiming the Bible is all for tearing families apart and treating people terribly. The pastor was asked about religious leaders speaking out about the Trump administration’s action on immigration and gave his own bizarre take on the matter.
While Christian compassion is one consideration, it’s not the only consideration in the immigration problem…The Bible also says that God is the one who established nations and its borders. God is not necessarily an ‘Open Borders Guy’ as a lot of people would think that He is.

Jeffress goes on to claim the immigration debate is about national security, despite mountains of evidence to the contrary.

Robert Jeffress has not shied away from terrible points of view in the past. He once stated that African-Americans killed by police were all “evil doers”. He recently claimed that God has given Donald Trump the “authority to take out Kim Jong Un” in North Korea.
As for Trump, he has reciprocated the love from Robert Jeffress. Just days after the mass shooting at an LGBT club in Orlando last year, Trump spent time on the campaign trail with the notoriously anti-LGBT Jeffress. The pastor was also on prominent display at a recent bizarre gathering of religious leaders in the White House praising Trump.
As one might expect with such obvious absurdity from an allegedly religious person, Twitter had a field day with the comments. Here are some of the best.

God also said the tax burden on the 0.1%, like NYC's rents, is too damn high! Oh and that the estate tax needs to go. Amen.
