Anti-Donald Trump Signage Found At Taco Cabana, Other Mexican Restaurants
Signage has begun appearing on several Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, Texas that seems to disavow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his comments on Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. One sign posted at a Taco Cabana says the restaurant will not serve “people who display support for the views of the presidential candidate Donald Trump.” The sign adds: “You can’t have your taco and eat it too.”

We stand with our fellow Mexican restaurants in their efforts against hateful speech. We will also no longer be serving people who display support for the views of the presidential candidate Donald Trump. You can’t have your taco and eat it too.
Standing together.
Images of the signs have been circulating on Facebook for the past 48 hours. Reverb Press reached out to Taco Cabana and received a statement from chief operating officer Todd Coerver:
Another sign, this one posted on Mama Margie’s Mexican Cafe, also seems to be the work of activists or pranksters.
It reads:
Due to his consistent disparaging comments directed toward Mexicans. [sic]
WE WILL NO LONGER BE SERVING DONALD TRUMP SUPPORTERS OR SYMPATHIZERS.
Thank you for your cooperation.

According to Fox San Antonio, Mama Margie’s has denied posting the sign, stating their security cameras captured the culprit in the act:
“We do know that it was not a Mama Margie’s employee or management… We have video of the person that came onto our premises, kind of looked around and posted the letter, so we’re looking at our options.”
They added:
Because the Taco Cabana signage references the poster found at Mama Margie’s, it seems they’re either the work of the same person or a couple of like-minded individuals. Still, we wouldn’t mind seeing #HaveYourTacoAndEatItToo take off.
