GOP Senator’s Granddaughter Questioned His Climate Change Denial; His Reply Will Make You Furious (AUDIO)
Senator Snowball, Jim Inhofe, Thinks Teaching Kids About Climate Change Is ‘Brainwashing’
Republican Senator and climate change denying lunatic Jim Inhofe is well-known for his senseless and idiotic antics in battling overwhelming science on the environment. He’s most infamous for tossing a snowball while on the floor of the Senate in an effort to prove climate change isn’t happening. It was a move that proved beyond any shadow of a doubt Inhofe doesn’t know even the most basic thing about the science behind climate change. Recently, Inhofe recounted a story of his granddaughter asking him why he didn’t know anything about climate change. And his ridiculous answer: kids are being “brainwashed”.
During a radio interview last week, Senator Jim Inhofe stated:
You know, our kids are being brainwashed? I never forget because I was the first one back in 2002 to tell the truth about the global warming stuff and all of that. And my own granddaughter came home one day and said “Popi — see “I” is for Inhofe, so it’s Momi and Popi, okay? — Popi, why is it you don’t understand global warming?” I did some checking and Eric, the stuff that they teach our kids nowadays, you have to un-brainwash them when they get out.
In other words, teaching science in schools is now officially known as brainwashing. Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you enjoyed hearing this from the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works! Sleep well, everybody!
In all seriousness, there are plenty of myth-busters out there crushing the climate change deniers’ arguments into rubble as the science continues to become more and more solid. A recently published paper showed, once again, the models for predicting changes in the climate are incredibly accurate, further solidifying previous research proving the same.
There is, of course, a solution for the people who think teaching science is brainwashing the next generation. They can simply remove what science has done from their lives. They can start driving cars built by engineers who don’t know math. They can seek health care from doctors who received their medical training by playing the game Operation. And they can have the food they eat tested for diseases by someone with a good nose for smelling salmonella and E. coli.
If people are going to claim teaching science is brainwashing, then they have to live with the consequences of a science-less society. Otherwise, maybe it’s time for people like Jim Inhofe to just shut the f*ck up.
