How did he reach this or rather is it all off of the back of My Pillow, which he is most famous for? Beyond this, we will also touch upon how old is Mike Lindell, some of his political beliefs especially concerning the recent 2020 elections as that has played a large role in the recent activities of Mike Lindell.
Mike Lindell – My Pillow
Mike Lindell is the founder of the My Pillow and established the business back in 2004. Eventually, My Pillow grew to become one of the major businesses operating out of Minnesota as a manufacturing company.
At this time in 2004, the company only consisted of 5 employees, the first of the My Pillows were sold in 2005 at a mall kiosk set up by their company. For about the first five years in Mike Lindell building the net worth he sold the My Pillows at mostly large malls, local and international trade shows, and state fairs.
The peak of sales for the company My Pillow saw the biggest boost to Mike Lindell’s net worth in 2012. This was because of a marketing campaign planned out a year prior by Mike Lindell in 2011, this was to help boost Mike Lindell net worth in the most efficient way possible with My pillow.
This marketing plan was to host infomercials lasting 30 minutes and airing at an average of 200 times in one day. Naturally, such a large campaign cost quite a bit with the estimated amount being at $500,000, this would very easily be made back with Mike Lindell net worth shooting sky high as his company My Pillow made $100 million within the next 12 months. This of course was only a stepping stone for Mike Lindell net worth as at the absolute peak of the company both My Pillow and Mike Lindell net worth saw an average of $280,000 in yearly revenue.
Setbacks With My Pillow
As Mike Lindell net worth had skyrocketed alongside his brand My Pillow, it’s natural that there would also be several challenges posing an undeniable threat to both Mike Lindell net worth and My Pillow.
The first of these was in 2017 where the BBB or Better Business Bureau, a non-profit organization, stood in the way of the continued growth of Mike Lindell net worth and My Pillow. This was done by giving an ‘F’ rating to the My Pillow products, based on customer complaints. As well as an observation point to the flaws in one of My Pillow’s main business strategies, this was the buy one get one free model that the pillows have had since their introduction to the market.
At this point, it was so frequently on offer that you’d see it as a buy one get one free more often than at its normal price. Which naturally meant that the actual price of the pillows was less than half of its value, as the company was still making a profit.
Although this setback caused by the BBB did affect My Pillow and Mike Lindell net worth, they still were quite healthy and didn’t really see too much of a dip, so My Pillow and Mike Lindell net worth continued growing afterward.
Another setback, and easily the biggest one for My Pillow and Mike Lindell net worth was with the recent 2020 elections as Mike Lindell supported Donald Trump by trying to overturn the elections, with a lack of convincing evidence. However, this didn’t really amount to anything.
Since this didn’t work he also spent some of his time on social platforms claiming that he believes the elections were a fraud. This is what Mike Lindell refers to when he thinks of why My Pillow and Mike Lindell net worth saw a bit of a dip.
Without much else going on, several retailers denied My Pillow products, which directly affected Mike Lindell net worth. Other retailers that still do stock My Pillow claim that this dip in Mike Lindell net worth and My Pillow sales is more because of a lack of demand and an insufficient amount of market research with the new conditions the pandemic put My Pillow in and the challenges it had brought.
Mike Lindell’s Business Ventures
In March of 2021, Mike Lindell announced that he was planning to launch his own alt-tech social media platform. In this announcement, he said he wanted it to be something of a cross between Youtube and Twitter, this was to help differentiate it from other alt-tec social media platforms like Gab and Parler.
The initial idea was to call this new platform Vocl. But after a dispute with a company that owned a website called Vocal it was decided that they would change the website’s name to Frank. The day of Frank’s launch was on April 19, 2021, this was met with a lot of technical issues which Mike Lindell blamed on an attack on the website on its launch.
Even after these technical issues that plagued Frank to start, it was found that Frank had no social networking features, making it quite far from the mix of Youtube and Twitter that Mike Lindell had envisioned. Instead, the site held a handful of videos starring Mike Lindell going on about what he believed happened during the 2020 presidential election. Despite this Mike Lindell claimed that he had spent $936,000 on the hardware, labor, and development of Frank the website.
Jared Holt, a researcher at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab concluded that Mike Lindell was being scammed essentially. Hearing what Mike Lindell wanted to show him signs of “progress” when in reality they were just taking his money to host that one two-hour video of himself, keeping him busy with the filming of the pseudo-documentary.
On 28th April 2021, Mike Lindell announced that there would be a relaunch of Frank on a podcast with Steve Bannon. This announcement would supposedly be at a rally at the Corn Palace on May 10, 2021. The rally did indeed happen with around 1,500 people attending, however, there was no sign of an announcement about Frank during the rally.
Furthermore, based on the errors on the launch of Frank several experts in Drupal determined it was developed using it. This is a point of suspicion that the people Mike Lindell hired really were scamming him as Drupal was never designed to handle large amounts of user-generated content. This pretty much means that it would take an unreasonable amount of work, or pretty much be impossible for the current Frank site to ever be the cross between Youtube and Twitter that Mike Lindell originally envisioned.
