Trump wants to pull out of storm-torn Puerto Rico, but Twitter ain’t having it

Just a mere three weeks after Puerto Rico was devastated by a hurricane, as the island is still largely without water and electricity, as American citizens flounder and die, Donald Trump issued warnings about FEMA and other rescue relief aid pulling out. In doing so, the President of the United States also decided that part of making America great again entails blaming Puerto Rico for the damage caused by the hurricane, chide them for a lack of “accountability,” and generally be an asshole about all of it.

No such threats were issued against Texas and Florida, of which both states went for Trump in the disasterous 2016 election. And if you are asking yourself why Puerto Rico is being treated differently than Texas and Florida, and wondering if it may have to do with the fact that many of them have brown skin, quit your wondering.

Twitter was rightfully and righteously angered by Trump’s lack of basic kindness and humanity – and surplus of blatant racism.
