Teen Shooting Survivor Rallies Thousands With Fiery Speech that Calls ‘BS’ on the NRA

Every time America experiences a horrifying mass shooting, it seems to be followed by nothing but excuses from legislators when it comes to doing anything about weapons of mass murder.

But another grieving community is tired of the lack of action. And one student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the location of America’s latest mass shooting tragedy, has a simple but powerful call to politicians trying to squirm out of action.

Emma Gonzalez delivered a powerful speech at an anti-gun rally in Florida today attended by thousands. The speech amounted to a verbal punch in the face of every politician saying now is not the time to talk about this.

Gonzalez particularly calls out politicians “sitting in their gilded seats” for saying it’s just a mental health problem. The student takes direct aim at Donald Trump for making the claim, despite the community at the school raising the alarm about the shooter numerous times.

Gonzalez also bashes Trump and others for taking millions of dollars from the NRA and flatly states (Full video below):

To every politician who is taking donations from the NRA: Shame on you!

The crowd quickly joins in on a “Shame on You!” chant after the comment.

She ends her speech by tearing through the usual excuses given to stop any action on restricting guns in the United States.

They say that tougher gun laws do not decrease gun violence. We call BS!

They say a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun. We call BS!

They say guns are just tools like knives and are as dangerous as cars. We call BS!

They say that no laws could have been able to prevent the hundreds of senseless tragedies that have occurred. We call BS!

That us kids don’t know what we’re talking about. That we’re too young to understand how the government works. We call BS!
