BREAKING: CIA Revelations Show Exactly How Putin Ordered Agents to Help Trump Beat Hillary
The CIA had proof Putin was to meddle in U.S. elections
The Washington Post has revealed in a report that the CIA had proof of Russia’s meddling in the 2016 U.S. election. According to the report, an envelope was sent from the CIA to the White House ;ast August, containing “eyes only” instructions, meant to be shown exclusively to President Barack Obama and three senior aides (Comey was one of four senior officials who attended the meetings in the Situation Room on how to respond to Russia’s interference). Once read, the information had to be returned immediately. With such sensitive information, CIA Director John Brennan kept the material out of the President’s Daily Brief to avoid broad distribution. The envelope carried something huge. As told by WaPo:
“Inside was an intelligence bombshell, a report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.”
Apparently, the CIA had captured Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s specific instructions to defeat or damage the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, while helping Donald Trump to win. Russia’s intentions were already suspected, but now the CIA had evidence.
According to the report, the Obama administration debated constantly for the next five months the options for deterring or punishing Russia, which included possible cyberattacks on Russian infrastructure, the release of CIA-gathered material to embarrass Putin, or sanctions to damage the Russian economy. However,
“In the end, in late December, Obama approved a modest package combining measures that had been drawn up to punish Russia for other issues — expulsions of 35 diplomats and the closure of two Russian compounds — with economic sanctions so narrowly targeted that even those who helped design them describe their impact as largely symbolic.”
Many believe that Obama’s response was too little, especially now that it is known he was given such evidence by the CIA. Although according to officials, Obama’s reaction was “grave”. Nevertheless, investigations into Trump associates and their relations with Russia has obscured the magnitude of Moscow’s intentions.
The Washington Post is still withholding key details at the request of the U.S. government.
